Big few weeks ahead for the Austin ultimate community
There’s a lot happening around Austin right now, whether you’re a longtime player, new to the sport, looking for summer competition, or just want to come check out a great community atmosphere.
This weekend, Texas High School State Championships are coming to Lakeline Park on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. Some of the best high school teams in Texas will be competing all weekend long and it’s always one of the most fun events of the year to watch. If you’ve never come out to a tournament before, this is a great chance to experience the energy of ultimate in Austin.
A huge thank you in advance to everyone helping make the weekend happen.
We’re also getting closer to the start of club season, and registration for Club Centex is closing soon. Centex has long been one of the staples of Texas ultimate and a great way for teams to kick off the season, get reps, and build momentum heading into the summer. If your team is planning to attend, make sure to get registered before the deadline.
And finally… Summer League registration is OPEN 🌎🥏
This year’s theme is The World Huck, and we’re incredibly excited to bring summer league back. Expect a fun atmosphere, great competition, themed teams, and one of the best ways to meet and play with people across the Austin community.
Whether you’re brand new to ultimate or have been playing for years, summer league is built to be welcoming, social, and competitive in the best ways.
