A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, hosts, and participating schools for making this year’s Engineering Day unforgettable.

Over 60 students from Harmony Science Academy, Pflugerville High School, and Killeen ISD went behind the scenes at the Austin campuses of Dell Technologies, IBM, Cadence, and Google. From touring high-tech workspaces to engaging in deep-dive Q&As with industry engineers, these students showed up with incredible curiosity and energy.

Events like this are only possible through the strength of our Greater Austin community.

It's the first GBM of 2026! 🎉

🌟 From Engineer to Executive: Lessons in Leadership, Identity & Impact
Our theme challenges us to think beyond our technical roles and explore what it means to lead—professionally, personally, and within our communities. We’ll dive into how identity shapes leadership and how engineers can create lasting impact in every space they enter.

🔥 Fireside Chat Spotlight: Deonte Thompson
We are excited to host a Fireside Chat with Deonte Thompson, whose journey from engineer to executive reflects our theme.

This is an opportunity to gain real-world insight, ask meaningful questions, and be inspired by a leader who has walked the path many of us aspire to follow.

📣 Calling Austin Companies & Tech Leaders!

The National Society of Black Engineers – Austin Professionals (NSBE AP) is excited to invite engineering companies in the Austin area to partner with us for our annual Engineering Day! 🚀⚙️

Engineering Day is a dynamic, community-centered initiative designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, especially students from historically underrepresented backgrounds. By opening your campus and providing hands-on exposure to real engineering environments, your company can play a pivotal role in shaping future careers in STEM, technology, and engineering.

🔹 Showcase engineering career paths, technologies, and teams
🔹 Help create an unforgettable, empowering experience for young minds

Partnering with NSBE AP offers a meaningful way to invest in Austin’s future talent pipeline while demonstrating your organization’s commitment to community impact, diversity, and equitable access to STEM opportunities.

THANK YOU to our incredible National Society of Black Engineers – Austin Professionals panelists, members, executive board, and guests! 💛🖤

Our November General Body Meeting (GBM) was nothing short of powerful — and it’s all because of YOU.

We were reminded that change is inevitable, but growth is optional. The conversation last night encouraged us to choose growth, even when life shifts unexpectedly. Our panel brought wisdom, vulnerability, humor, and real strategies we can all use as we rise through whatever’s next. 💪🏾🔥

A special THANK YOU to our dynamic panelists who poured into our community:
🎙️ Gregory Harrington
🎙️ D. Shea Warren
🎙️ Cassandra Terry, ACC
🎙️ Robert Corion, PMP

Your authenticity and insight made this discussion truly unforgettable.

To our members, guests, and first-time visitors — thank you for the energy, the openness, and the commitment to becoming the best version of yourselves.

As we close out 2025, we’re proud to continue building a community where professionals learn, connect, and rise together.

✨ Here’s to finishing the year strong and stepping boldly into the next chapter!
