Calling all Austin Teachers! The Bright Green Futures Grant Application deadline is coming up. Offered each year by the City of Austin, the Bright Green Future Grant awards up to $3,000 for school-based sustainability projects. To adapt to the current pandemic, this year's projects can be completed either in-person or virtually.
Deadline to apply is October 26th!

Bright Green Future Grants are sponsored by the City of Austin’s Office of Sustainability and funded by the Austin Resource Recovery, Watershed Protection, Urban Forestry and Austin Transportation Departments. City of Austin Youth Forest Gallery:
This project aims to engage City of Austin youth (ages 5-24) with trees and promote a greater appreciation for our urban forest, as well as offer an opportunity to get creative!

You have the option to submit a tree-themed art piece, an anecdote about your relationship to trees and nature, or both! Any form of art is welcome. This could include photography, doodles, embroidery, poems, or crafts, for example. These will be displayed in a public virtual art exhibit. The deadline for submissions is October 15.
