Fortunado performs their adaptation of the traditional American spiritual "Mighty Storm," about the 1900 Galveston Hurricane, which was the deadliest natural disaster in US history. Fortunado: Chris Cooney, banjo/vocals, Ben Dotson, lead vocals, Jacob Windham, guitar/vocals. Filmed at the 1892 Bishop's Palace in Galveston, Texas.

This is an excerpt from the pilot episode of American Classic TV program for PBS stations, about the 1892 Bishop's Palace/Gresham Home in Galveston, TX, which saved the lives of 100-200 people during the 1900 Storm, thanks to the efforts of the lady of the house, Mrs. Josephine Gresham.

American Classic tells the stories of beautiful and historic homes in words and music. Produced by Classical Guitar Alive, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Video editing by Arlen Nydam, sound recording by Todd Waldron. Video Director: Tony Morris.
