Join us for the 2nd Annual Engineering Day of Service! ASME Central Texas Section is partnering with TSPE Travis to volunteer at the Central Texas Food Bank. Advance signup is required and we expect spots to fill up completely. If you sign up, but are later no longer able to come, please make sure to cancel your signup so another volunteer can take your place. We look forward to volunteering with you!

No volunteers will be admitted after 6:15pm

Event will end by 8:30pm

All volunteers must wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes that covers the entire foot (like a sneaker), as well as a shirt that covers your torso with sleeves that cover the underarm (no crop tops, tank tops, or cap-sleeves).

Join ASME Central Texas Section at Johnson City Lights Spectacular!

With over 2 Million Christmas lights, Johnson City Lights Spectacular is so big that NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration reported seeing it from space! Enjoy local food, beer, wine, and festivities in a family fun atmosphere. ASME Central Texas Section will be meeting up at the boyhood home of LBJ before walking through the lights together.

What is ASME PCC-1 Appendix O?

Proper fl**ged joint assemblies depend on the interaction of the fl**ges, gasket, and bolts. ASME PCC-1 Appendix O investigates the interaction of fl**ge stresses, gasket stresses, and bolt stresses to determine proper bolt torque values. Determining proper bolt torque values is important for those serious about fixing leaky fl**ges

Thanks to American Welding Society for inviting ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) to their meeting and facility tour this month at Dynamic Systems, Inc. in Buda, Texas!

Thank you Micheal Hodges for the really insightful presentation and thank you Michael Hinterlach for giving us such a comprehensive tour of the wonderful facility. It was insightful to see how software and technology help streamline complicated projects.
