My shot in the dark post for today. Our friend Sharon lives on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, NM. We met her while filming Desert Dogs many years ago. She continues to rescue and place dogs and needs help with these two beauties. Please share and see if anyone in New Mexico can help out. Thank you!

Spay Austin is pleased to partner with Fredericksburg artist Nan Henke for a very special event. “Barns, Cats and Barn Cats,” is Henke’s solo art show by the Fredericksburg Art Guild. Through her watercolor, acrylic and digital artwork, Henke hopes to show that barn cats play a role on the ranch and that they deserve to be cared for and treated with kindness. “Living on a ranch, I’ve become fond of the cats in our barn. After seeing a feral mom cat give birth numerous times, I learned the benefit of trap-neuter-release which cuts down on the feline population. A fixed cat is a healthier cat and having less cats and healthier ones benefits us humans too.” 20 percent of the sales from the month-long show will go to participating rescue groups including, The Big Fix, PAWS of Fredericksburg and Spay Austin Coalition.

Little “Clover” came to us after being found injured at the side of the road this weekend. She has a mouth wound and needs her bottom lip repaired. Spay Austin has set up surgery and is asking for any donation to help defray costs. Clover is only 2.5 pounds but is feisty and deserves all the luck of a 4 leaf “Clover. “

A new year and new decade for The Spay Austin Coalition means saving even more furry friends.
Last year our non-profit helped 350 community cats by getting them trapped and fixed! Approximately 100 homeless cats were taken off the streets for rescue and now enjoy a much better life. We Thank our fantastic volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
