HC4A collaborates closely with dedicated grass-roots organizations in Austin to bring direct resources, training, and digital literacy to refugee families starting anew. Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom delayed is freedom denied. June 19 marks the day many enslaved African Americans in Texas finally learned they were free— more than two years after emancipation had already been declared. It is both a celebration of resilience and a moment to reflect on the unfinished work of justice.

As Indian Americans and immigrants, this history is not separate from our own American story. The rights, opportunities, and sense of belonging that many of us experience today were shaped by generations of people who challenged inequality and expanded the promise of this nation.

The African American struggle for civil rights helped redefine what inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity mean in America, opening doors for countless communities that followed. Remembering this history isn’t just about looking back—it’s about understanding our responsibility to one another today.

Our motto ‘Serve Where You Live’ is how we deliver that responsibility in a small way.

BMBB 2026: Pure Magic! ✨

What an unforgettable evening at BMBB 2026! Our hearts are so full after witnessing the incredible talent and community spirit that came together to support our vocational scholarship mission.

The stage was electric from start to finish:
🎤 The incomparable Samson Koletkar kept us laughing all night with his brilliant emceeing and stand-up comedy.
💃 We were absolutely mesmerized by the graceful Anuradha Naimpally and Purna Bajekal- Austin Dance India, and Rebekka Paisner and Ben Mendelbaum, whose dance performances was a true highlight.
🎶 The soulful and stunning vocals of Secret Siren, Maanasa Iyer, and Kelia Hopkins (K Vyolet) moved us all and brought our mission to life.

A massive thank you to these artists for sharing their gifts with us and for helping us bridge the gap for our local students. You made the night truly special! 🎓💙
