Side by Side Kids Welcome to the Side by Side Kids page! Side by Side Kids believes in the future of the St.

John’s community and is investing in the lives of the children and families that live here. We primarily work through an afterschool program (grades K-5). To help us meet our mission, we have recently worked with the professional support of University of Texas professors to develop a new curriculum for both these programs.

Last Friday, we had the privilege of meeting best-selling and award-winning author Kat Kronenberg at Pickle Elementary! 💛

She gave an uplifting presentation for SBSK students, and generously brought enough of her books for every child to take one home with them. During rec time, students were able to meet with Kat and have their books personalized with their name and an encouraging message from a real-life author! 📚

Thank you .kronenberg for inspiring our students to spread love and have courage, and for showing them what is possible when they dream big!✨

🐣Another huge thank you to for mobilizing so many incredible volunteers from for a service project of pre-stuffing Easter eggs so our 120 students could participate in egg hunts at their parties — Your contributions made it such a meaningful day that our students will never forget!
