We're excited for more of our Meet the Team series introducing you to our amazing staff who will be leading PEAS programs this year. Today, we’re featuring Chef Luz, PEAS Kitchen Education Specialist!⁠

📚Luz brings years of experience in educational roles overseeing the development and implementation of camps, school programs, and family and community events.⁠
⁠
🌻 Luz believes outdoor and edible education are important so that children can develop the skills needed to become confident in a kitchen or outdoor environment (But also within themselves!). Learning about the natural world allows them to make the connections between the food they're eating and how it affects the land they live on too. Teaching them the importance of caring for the world they live in!⁠

🌱 For this school year, Luz is most excited to see all the amazing meals the kids will be making, but also the connections to their cultures, friends and themselves.⁠
