NAMI Central Texas Improving the lives of people affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy đź’™ This page isn't monitored 24/7 or a crisis response tool.

For 39 years, NAMI Central Texas has been a place to break the silence around mental health. Alongside volunteers, members, and supporters in our communities we are the face and voice of the NAMI movement. Our peers, families, and friends come together to give and receive help and hope. NAMI Central Texas is working each day to raise awareness and provide essential—and free—education and support. With more than nine education programs— including support groups, community meetings, and other outreach—NAMI Central Texas is a vital resource for individuals and families when they need a place to turn. Join us as we continue to provide safe spaces for people to amplify their voices to find strength in sharing. Become a volunteer, donate, spread the word, or learn more by contacting us today. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, NAMIWalks Central Texas 2026 raised $203,914, surpassing our $200,000 fundraising goal!

With 829+ walkers and attendees, 78 teams, and countless supporters cheering us on, this year's Walk was an incredible reminder of what we can accomplish together.

We walk for our loved ones. For our friends, families, and neighbors. For those navigating mental health challenges, and for those who remind us that no one has to face them alone.

We walk to celebrate recovery, honor the lives we've lost, break down stigma, and build a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Every step is a reminder that mental health matters, community matters, and hope is worth showing up for.

Each September, Recovery in the Park brings together people in recovery, families, advocates, local organizations, musicians, and community members to celebrate recovery and connect people with resources and support.

Our intern, Ella, represented NAMI Central Texas meeting so many wonderful people, and joining a community that believes in the power of connection, hope, and recovery.
