VACAT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Vietnamese American community in the Austin, Texas area.

The Vietnamese American Community of Austin, Texas (VACAT) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to strengthen the greater Austin community by providing advocacy, social services, and programming that is culturally appropriate to the Vietnamese community. The organization shall support and facilitate cultural preservation, innovation, and creation.

* Thử mỡ (nhịn ăn ít nhất 8 tiếng) và đường trong máu (nhịn ăn ít nhất 2 tiếng)
* Luyện tập yoga
* Hát karaoke

* Cắt tóc miễn phí cho người lớn tuổi từ 65 tuổi trở lên

On June 20th, we invite you to join us for the following programs and services:
* Rapid on-site testing for Hepatitis C
* Free at-home test kits to detect colon cancer
* On-site testing for cholesterol (fast for at least 8 hours) and blood sugar (fast for at least 2 hours)
* Yoga exercises
* Karaoke
* Cognitive games
* Free hair cut for seniors 65 years and older
* Pickup and drop-off service for seniors 65 years and older, please contact Lana at (512) 960-5739

For years, VACAT has been more than an organization—we have been a voice for our community, a bridge between generations, and a home for seniors, youth, families, and newcomers seeking connection, support, and opportunity.

From cultural celebrations and health fairs to senior programs, youth leadership development, civic engagement, and community advocacy, VACAT is helping build a stronger, more inclusive Austin where every voice matters.

Now, we are seeking City of Austin grant funding to expand these efforts and serve even more people in our community.

Community Announcement

Dear VACAT Family,

After careful consideration, VACAT has made the difficult decision to cancel the Tet Festival 2026 due to limited time, manpower, and resources.

While this was not an easy choice, our mission to celebrate and preserve Vietnamese culture remains strong. We are excited to share that VACAT will instead host the Mid-Autumn Festival (Tết Trung Thu) in September 2026 for our community to come together and celebrate.

Thank you for your understanding, continued support, and love for our community. We look forward to seeing you this fall. 💛
