Texas Apartment Association TAA members are rental housing owners, builders, developers, property management firms and companies that supply products or services to rental properties.

The Texas Apartment Association is a non-profit statewide trade association dedicated to unifying rental housing professionals through education, legislative advocacy and member services. We have more than 9,800 member companies and represent more than 2 million units throughout the state. TAA members must adhere to the association's Code of Ethics. TAA owner/management company members

- Provide housing for more than 4.6 million Texans;
- Employ an estimated 75,000 full-time employees;
- Represent property with a market value of more than $150 billion;
- Pay property taxes exceeding $3 billion. TAA is affiliated with the National Apartment Association and local associations in 24 Texas cities. Early voting starts TODAY, Texas! The future of Texas rental housing is on the ballot, and your vote matters!

From housing affordability and property rights to regulations that impact how we build, manage and operate rental housing, the leaders elected on November 3 will help shape the future of our industry and the communities we serve. TAA encourages all members and rental housing professionals to make their voices heard in the 2026 General Election.

Key Dates to Remember:

- October 19: Early voting begins TODAY!
- October 30: Early voting ends
- November 3: Election Day

Before heading to the polls, make sure you're prepared! Check your voter registration status, find your polling location and review TAA PAC's endorsed candidates to learn more about the races impacting our industry.

That's a wrap on TAA's Fall 2026 Board Meeting!

This week, rental housing leaders from across Texas came together to connect, collaborate, celebrate and help shape the future of our industry. From important discussions on advocacy, association initiatives and upcoming events to recognizing the people who make our industry stronger, it was a memorable week of leadership, recognition and connection. A few highlights included:

⭐ Welcoming Texas Secretary of State Robert Howden as our special guest speaker.

🏆 Recognizing our 2026 MVP Award recipients for their outstanding volunteer leadership and dedication to TAA.

🎓 Celebrating the 2026 Lyceum graduating class and the next generation of industry leaders.

💙 Honoring local apartment associations with Community Service Star Awards for making a difference in their communities.

👏 Recognizing Jay Parmelee for more than 20 years of dedicated service and leadership.

🏅 Celebrating Amber Franklin of Greystar as the recipient of the 2026 Frank Finch Presidential Award.

🤝 Officially welcoming 2027 TAA President Matt Jones, along with the installation of the 2027 Executive Committee and Texas Supplier Council officers, as they prepare to lead our association into another exciting year.

And, of course, the Installation Gala Reception brought everyone together for an evening of celebration, camaraderie and recognition as we honored our incoming leadership and the people who make TAA so special.
