If at least 50 ice creams are purchased, our local elementary schools will get 15% of the day’s profits. Sweet and easy! Tell your friends and neighbors!

The 5th Cherrywood Neighborhood Yard Sale is happening this Saturday, May 6, from 8am-12pm. There are currently 14 homes hosting sales and it's not too late to jump in as a seller.

Get on the map by emailing [email protected] with your address and a brief description of items being sold. Art sales, plant sales, bake sales, and lemonade stands are all great additions to the event if there are any out there to include!

Yard sale tip: you can use the Discussion area on the Facebook event page as a seller to share out and preview items being sold -- OR -- ask if anyone has a certain item for sale if you're a buyer on the hunt for something specific.

Most of us frequently frequent Cherrywood Coffeehouse which was hard hit by the freeze last week - consider donating to their employee support campaign and/or attending the Cherrywood Neighborhood Association meeting this coming Wed, 2/15 at 6:30pm to enjoy a beverage!

Come out on Saturday for the Cap City Cobras Field Day at Patterson Park!

Saturday, September 24, 9–11 a.m. Friends of Patterson Park invites you to a field day of fun and games with the Cap City Cobras this Saturday with Patterson's own sandlot baseball team!

The Cobras have been playing on Wednesday evenings at the park for years. They were the first sandlot team to play at the Field of Dreams in Iowa and are wrapping up their ninth season as a squad.To show their appreciation for Patterson Park neighbors, the Cobras will be hosting a casual drop-in field day with some fun baseball activities and some Cobras merch giveaways. Stop by on your morning walk, bring a glove, bring the kids (and any kids-sized equipment they may want to use). There will be opportunities for all ages and abilities to goof around and do some hitting and some fielding with your friendly, neighborhood Cobras.

Free tacos, donuts and beverages provided by Friends of Patterson Park.

REMINDER: CANDIDATE FORUM TONIGHT

Wednesday, September 21, 6-9 pm
Residents of Cherrywood, Schieffer-Willowbrook, Wilshire Woods, and Delwood II (and all other Austin neighborhoods) are invited to attend for an opportunity to discuss ballot issues and meet several candidates for Mayor and City Council District 9.

General run of show:
6-6:30: Discussion of non-candidate issues on the ballot
6:30-8: Panel of District 9 candidates, Linda Guerrero, Ben Leffler, Greg Smith, Joah Spearman, Zo Qadri, and Tom Wald.
8-9: Panel of mayoral candidates, Celia Israe, Jennifer Virden, and Kirk Watson
Candidate forum will conclude by 9:00 pm; meeting follow-up to be held at Cherrywood Coffeehouse for libations and continued conversation.
Note the last day to register to vote in the November 2022 election is Tuesday, October 11.
