ActiVets Summer 2025 Gunnison river trip was a 4 day 40 mile canoe trip through Escalante Canyon in Western Colorado.

Back in 2007, ActiVets was founded by Vietnam era veterans. They took their experiences in the 1960's and decided to get ahead of a harsh reality they knew to be true- Veterans returning home from service with a lack of resources to truly support the rapid change of civilian life ahead. This video shows the humble begging's of a program that would eventually support hundreds of combat vets on wilderness trips through our protected National lands & waterways across our great country.
