The Boone Planta Water Project

The Boone Planta Water Project The BPWP was founded in 2010 to bring clean drinking water to those who need it.

The BPWP aims to bring as much clean, accessible water to as many disadvantaged Latin Americans as possible. We will do so by fervently fundraising to cover the costs of well construction and the disbursement of the water to each villager's home. However, we feel that half of the experience is in the process of physically assisting with the manual labor and putting a face to an otherwise generous-

-yet, anonymous--donation. Hence, we have our volunteers travel to the destination and work side by side with the people who are receiving this water project. The bonds, the smiles and the transformative experience will be, ultimately, the most memorable and important part of the mission. We want all BPWP volunteers to truly feel the joyous rewards that giving to others entails. Moreover, we want our volunteers to serve as ambassadors for the United States, exuding values of kindness, generosity and solidarity.

Remembering Boone's birthday, thanks to all who put there heart into this project. His memory of love and kindness runs threw our veins like the water that will run forever in that small village in Honduras.
Pease be still.

On behalf of the Planta family, we'd like to thank everyone for their contributions, hard work, and love in moving this project a huge step closer to the reality of providing fresh clean water the Guatemalans. We know Boone is smiling upon us all.

Cameron's 10 day dirty water campaign started last night, yes, he drank toilet bowl water! He wont stop drinking dirty water until the campaign is fully funded by its deadline on the 23rd (link: http://bit.ly/1Sjp3q3). Support him so he can stop this crazy campaign to bring about awareness regarding the scarcity of clean water in many parts of the world.

If you were on the fence about donating, watch this video of a Guatemalan from the village we are going to help as he explains what its like not to have accessible, clean water. It's really touching and a reminder of what we take for granted daily

Here is a blog post about why this trip to Guatemala is so important to me, hopefully it will clarify why we are all so passionate!

A couple people have asked me, when discussing the Boone Planta Water Project Guatemala trip, why I wanted to start doing it annually. They inquired why I would want to devote so much time and energy for people so far away, when there were many domestically that were struggling. I found the question…
