Home Street Music Home Street Music offers a music program that serves people experiencing homelessness. This is especially true for unhoused and recently homed musicians.

Home Street Music is a nonprofit started in 2017 that empowers people who have experienced homelessness by hosting music circles that build community, restore confidence, and reclaim dignity through the healing power of song. We know that creativity and self-expression is vital for artists and musicians. We bring their artistic expression to life in a safe place with the tools to make music and build community. We believe in the healing power of song and the caring support of a community based in music. To make a tax deductible donation to help the program please go here:

UPDATED TIME: We are having SO much fun in our Women’s Circle! 💛

Every Thursday, the room fills with laughter, music, and everyone’s hearts. Women are picking up instruments for the first time, writing songs about their lives, and cheering each other on. So many hearts have been touched, and there have been more than a few happy tears.

Led by our lead musician, Helyn Rain, and therapist Amy Sue Berlin, this circle has become a place to be yourself, be heard and belong.

There’s still room for you! Come as you are. No experience needed.

Helyn brings such a gentle, powerful presence to our weekly Women's Circle. She creates a space where every woman feels safe to sing, play, and share her voice. We're so grateful for her magic and her leadership. 💛

Women's Circle meets every Thursday through Nov. 19th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Community First Village. We'd love for you to join us!

UPDATE: Our brand new WOMEN'S Music Program is in action! We will be moving to the Living Room on Thursday mornings at 9:30am, and we will head out to Community First Village for tomorrow's Open Mic Night, where we hope to spread the word!

May this be the beginning of something really beautiful!

A special thank you to our private donor who has helped bring these music circles to life, and our ongoing partnership with Community First Village / Mobile Loaves & Fishes which has been our home base for this music program for 9 and 1/2 years and counting!!! Wow.

With gratitude,

The Home Street Music team
