We're so thankful for a donation from Snacks & Stuffies! 💖

This survivor-led initiative provides snacks and stuffed animals to organizations serving survivors of complex trauma and human trafficking. Ashlie, the cofounder of The Finding Hope Project and the heart behind Snacks & Stuffies, brought us gift packages for clients. Each bundle includes a soft, squishy, stuffed animal, a variety of snacks, and a handwritten note.

This week, we had the honor of welcoming a new client into our Transitional Housing Program 🏡

Before she arrived, our staff and volunteers spent time thoughtfully preparing her space. They repainted the bathroom and picked out bedding and small room accents based on the client's preferences, creating an environment that feels safe, comfortable, and her own. Each detail was chosen with care, knowing that this moment matters.

Moving into this program is never just about housing. It is about stepping into something unknown, choosing to trust new people, and beginning a determined and beautiful journey toward healing.

We are so grateful to the team who made this transition possible, and we are deeply looking forward to walking alongside her. 🧡

April was Sexual Assault Awareness Month, but this conversation does not end when the month does 💙

In our latest newsletter, we shared about the connection between sexual assault and human trafficking and why it matters for survivor care. Sexual violence is a broad umbrella, and many survivors experience both assault and trafficking. Because of this, the care they receive should reflect the full scope of their experiences.

Access to compassionate, survivor-centered resources like medical care, advocacy, and legal support can play a critical role in healing. For some survivors, these services are the first step toward feeling safe, heard, and empowered.

When we recognize the overlap between sexual assault and trafficking, we begin to close gaps in care and move toward more holistic, informed support for survivors.

We are continuing this conversation beyond April because awareness is only the beginning.

We’re growing our team! 💛

Red Oak Hope is looking for a Residential Case Manager who is passionate about walking closely with survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation, supporting them on their healing journey as they set goals and build a foundation for lasting independence.

In this role, you’ll build meaningful relationships with residents, connect them to resources, and provide consistent, trauma-informed support, including in moments of crisis. Working alongside a collaborative team, you’ll help ensure each woman is cared for holistically as she moves toward long-term restoration.

If you value dignity, partnership, and compassionate care, this could be a beautiful fit. Feel free to share this post as well as spread the word!

Our 2025 Annual Impact Report is out, and because of the faithful generosity of so many, 2025 was a year of safety, healing, and hope for survivors of exploitation. 🤍

In 2025, 36 survivors and 15 children were met with compassionate, trauma-informed care through safe shelter, restorative services, and holistic support. 🏡✨ From 936 nights of safe shelter to hundreds of hours of case management and healing-centered care, every number in our annual report tells a story of courage, dignity, and lives being rebuilt.

These numbers mean fewer nights lived in fear, more moments of safety, deeper healing, and survivors being reminded they are never alone. 🌿🤍

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building freedom, resilience, and lasting restoration across Central Texas.

Healing and justice often go hand in hand.

Recently, one of our clients successfully met the requirements of her Transformative Youth Justice program with the support of stable housing and consistent care from our Direct Service Team. Because she had the resources and support she needed, she was able to stay engaged in restorative services that opened doors to education, employment, and childcare.

Swipe to see how holistic support helped make this possible. 💛

Last month, our team attended the Anti-Trafficking Alliance Conference, R.I.S.E, hosted by Safe House Project in North Carolina. It was a powerful time of learning, collaboration, and hearing from leaders who are helping shape a stronger response to trafficking.

Some of our favorite sessions that we were able to attend included:

🧡 “Repair: To Rise We Must Repair” Panel with Alia Paramore, Nate Davis, Keelin Washington, & Abby Germer

🧡 “Leading Beyond Dysregulation” with Alia Azariah

Two themes stayed with us: the importance of repairing harm through ownership and collaboration, and the reminder that clarity in who we serve must guide every decision we make. In the midst of complex work, our mission to bring freedom, hope, and restoration to survivors remains our clearest path forward.

For survivors of exploitation, pursuing justice through the legal system often comes with significant challenges that can be deeply retraumatizing. One of our clients shared that at times it felt as though the prosecutor was more focused on telling her story in a way that would win the case than on helping her experience true justice.

As we continue this conversation around the realities survivors face when navigating the legal system, we want to honor the immense courage it takes for survivors to choose to engage with that process at all. Our team is committed to walking side by side with survivors every step of the way, offering steady support, advocacy, and care throughout their pursuit of justice. 🧡
