What a great morning at the Tejas 5K! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💛
Today we had the opportunity to share the mission of Miles 4 Matthew, raise awareness for pediatric cancer, and invite more people to join us at our upcoming Miles 4 Matthew 5K/10K.

A huge thank you to Tejas Brewery for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of such a wonderful event. Special thanks to our friend and Braveheart Crew Ambassador, Michael, for making this opportunity possible, and to our ambassador Ashley for spending her morning helping us spread awareness and connect with the community.

Congratulations to H-Town Run Club on an incredible showing and podium finishes today!

Every conversation, every flyer handed out, and every person who learns about childhood cancer helps us expand our voice and our impact.

Because of you, 50 caregivers facing pediatric cancer received a small but meaningful moment of relief. 💛

We’re beyond grateful to share that our Sponsor a Caregiver campaign has reached $1,200 of our $1,500 goal! 🎉 That means 50 $25 gift cards have already been delivered to caregivers walking through long clinic days, uncertainty, exhaustion, and the emotional weight no parent should have to carry.

A coffee. A meal. A quick break. A reminder that someone sees them.

Sometimes the smallest gestures create the biggest impact. 💜

7 years ago, the idea of a 5K for Matthew was born. 💛

At the time, we had no idea how deeply this journey would shape our lives. Matthew would relapse, our hearts would break, and what started as an idea would become our life’s purpose.

In 2023, Miles 4 Matthew officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

In May 2024, we officially launched our mission.

And in just 2 years of active work, Matthew’s legacy powered by an incredible community has already created meaningful impact: ✨

✨️ 130+ pediatric cancer families touched by Miles 4 Matthew
✨️ 150 meal/gift cards provided to caregivers navigating long hospital days, clinic visits, and unimaginable challenges
✨️ 98 backpacks delivered to pediatric cancer patients receiving infusions at Texas Children’s
✨️ 11 pediatric cancer families supported with Christmas gifts through our partnership with Life Time Fitness
✨️ 2 additional families adopted for Christmas through collaboration with fellow nonprofits
✨️ 2 Miles of Adventures events creating joyful memories for pediatric cancer patients, siblings, and parents
✨️ 35+ awareness events with running clubs and community partners amplifying the fight against pediatric cancer
✨️ 2 annual Miles 4 Matthew races (5K/10K) bringing our community together to run with purpose

💰 $49,000 raised in 2024
💰 $60,000 raised in 2025

And we’re just getting started.
We will continue this work for Matthew’s legacy, his inspiration, and for every family giving everything they have one day at a time—for their child.

We will not stop raising awareness for pediatric cancer.
We will not stop advocating for more research.
We will not stop pushing for better treatment options, better outcomes, and more hope for our children.
Because even after heartbreak, love keeps moving forward.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms holding their families together through every season of life. 💛

Today, we especially honor the mothers walking through pediatric cancer — the moms spending days in hospitals, advocating endlessly for their children, carrying strength they never asked to have, and loving fiercely through it all.

We also hold close the mothers carrying the memory of a child they miss deeply. Your love continues far beyond today.

Something sweet, adventurous, and full of heart is coming this June 💛🍦

Miles of Adventures is back on Friday, June 5th!!!

A special Jeep cruise and ice cream social created for pediatric cancer patients, survivors, siblings, and their families.

Together with Elevation Jeeps, we’ll ride from Houston to the Blue Bell Factory for a day filled with smiles, connection, adventure, and moments these brave families truly deserve.

Because sometimes healing looks like laughter in a Jeep, ice cream on a summer day, and families feeling supported beyond the hospital walls.

More than miles… it’s moments that matter. 💙
