We are still processing the incredible energy from our sold-out screening of Beyond the Stages of Grief at . Filling every one of those 83 seats was a reminder of how much we all need these spaces to talk openly about loss and healing.

We wanted this to be more than just a movie night, so starting with a grounding exercise by licensed therapist Courtney Schmidt helped us all settle in and prepare. Licensed therapist Kevin Overton-Hadnot, tabled to provide therapy resources.

After the film and some snacks, the conversation truly opened up during our panel with moderator Miles Mogul and panelists Sam Watkins, Athens Hayes and Jeremiah Sudarmanto.

It was moving to see the audience engage so deeply with questions on how to spot the signs of grief and how to protect our own legacies before loss even occurs.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped us turn a simple screening into a space for community conversation. We are so grateful for the bravery and vulnerability in the room.

We’ve all heard it: "Man up" or "Stay strong." But when it comes to grief, staying silent isn't the same as being okay.

Hearts2Heal is hosting our next Wellness Meetup, Built to Be Strong, led by Kevin Overton-Hadnot . Kevin is an Austin native, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a firm believer that there is hope and healing for everyone. Through his practice, Counseling For Us, he works to be a beacon of hope for those who have been taught to carry their pain alone.

This is a space designed specifically to talk about men, grief, and the road to emotional wellness.

We are grateful to our venue partner, Station Austin, for hosting us as we share practical exercises to help us understand how grief affects men differently and how we can show up for our neighbors.

We are honored to announce that Hearts2Heal has been awarded a $60,000 grant through the City of Austin's Elevate program.

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences, yet it remains one of the least represented. This grant allows us to change that. Through film, through the written word, and through spaces that invite real conversation around loss and healing.

We are deeply grateful to our reviewers, organizational supporters, and board members whose belief in this mission made this moment possible. Your advocacy means everything.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to sharing what comes next.

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences, yet its weight on our mental health runs deeper than most of us admit.

Beyond the Stages of Grief is a short film about what it truly means to live with loss and how community can show up in the midst of it.

Whether you are grieving, walking alongside someone who is, or simply ready to show up for a conversation that matters, you are welcome here.

Since Hearts2Heal was incorporated in 2019, our vision has been to create space where grief is seen, heard, and felt.

That vision now includes multimedia storytelling, beginning with our first short film, Beyond the Stages of Grief.

This film marks the start of a series sharing a new framework for loss and the many ways it’s lived.

Grateful to the cast, crew, and community who made this possible, and to for capturing our red carpet premiere so beautifully.
