Hello Austin,
My name is Ben Green. I’m the founder of Meeple Center, a non-profit social club focused on community building through board games. We’ve been in town for nearly three years, gathering in locations across the community to have fun, meet new people, and create a safe place to gather.
We’ve been very purposeful in keeping our membership fees to a couple dollars a month. Being active in the community, attending events, and building meaningful friendships shouldn’t have a huge price tag. That’s what I love about what we do!
Board games can be costly, so we share the financial cost. But sometimes the cost feels less about money and more about time and physical space.
Meeple Center has been consistently showing up every Friday night for three years, with no plans on changing that anytime soon. Knowing there’s a welcoming, safe place with your favorite games and people, is a lifeline when the world otherwise offers so much uncertainty.
Or maybe you're just not a collector and don’t need hundreds of games in your house. We’ve got you. We maintain a library of well over 150 games, that you can borrow anytime you want.
The cost of membership is designed to be less than buying a single game a year. We’d love your support. Even if you can’t make it to any of our gaming events, grab a Rouge Membership and come when you can, knowing you are helping support the community in a very personal way.
On September 12th, we have a member exclusive event at the Austin Public Library from 10-4. There will be cupcakes, a giant game of Quixx, a sticker trading party and more games than we can play in a single afternoon!
