Thank you to everyone who joined our Legislative Lunch to hear how Communities In Schools of Central Texas supports students and strengthens school communities.

How are the children?

Last night at State of Our Students, we brought together community leaders, partners and advocates to explore what the answer means for the future of Central Texas.

Mayor Kirk Watson reflected on our shared responsibility to support children across our region. We’re grateful to Dr. Benny Goldman of Cornell University for sharing research on the long-term impact of Communities In Schools’ integrated student supports and what those findings mean for economic opportunity.

Most importantly, we heard directly from our expert panel, Central Texas students, about what it means to feel supported, connected and hopeful about their futures.
