Austin Police Operation Blue Santa (OBS) began in 1972 as a small community outreach initiative by the Austin Police Department.

OBS was granted a 501c3 designation in 1986 making us the first Blue Santa in Texas. Our mission is to bring joy and relief

Operation Blue Santa was out this morning collecting toys at the Parmer/I35 location of Walmart. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and donated! Special thanks to Walmart for their ongoing support - we appreciate you!

Our next event will be next Saturday, July 18th at the Walmart located at 610 E. Ben White from 10am - 1pm. Help us prepare for the 2026 Christmas season and ensure children get to enjoy the joy of the holidays!

This morning, OBS Board members, along with Mr. and Mrs. Blue Santa, joined the Barton Hills 4th of July parade. It was a wonderful time celebrating with the community and sharing Blue Santa's important mission of providing toys and food to underserved children and their families during the holiday season. Thanks to Amy's Ice Cream for inviting us to join in the fun! Have a safe and fun 4th of July!

Tomorrow is the last day of Prime Days! There are some great sales on our Amazon wish list!

Amazon Prime Days are Tuesday, June 23rd - Friday June 26th!

Help us kick off Christmas in July by shopping our wish list. We are in particular need of toys for Infants and ages 11 - 14.
