Austin AmeriCorps Alums is excited to be re-launching this spring, and we want to hear from YOU! Join us at a fun social event this Thursday, April 11 from 5-7pm with current AmeriCorps Central Texas members at Shoal Creek Saloon. There will be free food and drinks, swag, and a chance to connect with other current members and alums while helping shape the next iteration of our chapter. Can't wait to see you there!

Alumni friends: Austin's AmeriCorps community needs your help celebrating National Service Recognition Day and our current members remotely! See below for more about how you can help by sending an AmeriCorps selfie, and take care of yourselves during this challenging and scary time. And THANK YOU to all of the national service members who continue to be in the field serving our communities.

The ServeAustin team is putting together a PowerPoint slideshow presentation that can be sent to all AmeriCorps members. Please take a picture of yourself holding a sign with the word(s) describing what National Service means to you. Bonus points if you have the AmeriCorps logo in your photo!

If you are wanting to get more creative than a one or two word answer, you can make a short (5-30 second) video telling your story instead! The video can include any or all of the following:
- How National Service has impacted your life.
- Where, when, and how you served!
- What National Service taught you.
- A shoutout to an AmeriCorps member(s).
- What you appreciate about AmeriCorps members.

Once you have taken your photo or made your video, please send it to Ali Akler, [email protected], with the subject "NSRD Presentation". In the body of the email, please write the question you answered. Please send these in by noon on Monday April 6th.
