I am sad to say that Larry Neal of Neal Aircraft in Slaton, TX passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2019. He died from complications caused by a brain tumor that was discovered at the end of December. Larry was an Air Tractor dealer since the late 1980s and sold Piper Pawnees and Braves before that. He grew up in the aviation industry and has been a positive influence and advocate for aviation for many years. A memorial service has been planned for Friday May 17, 2019, 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in Lubbock, TX. A visitation will be immediately before the service at 9:30 AM in the church parlor.

REMINDER:

TAAA Scholarship Deadline, May 4th!

The TAAA scholarship opportunity is open to participants that will be graduating from high school prior to the award date (May 30, 2018) and be enrolled in continuing education during the year of entry. The scholarship is also open to any student/future student who will be enrolling in any collegiate institution, technical school or any higher educational course programs. Scholarship amount is $2,000.00 per winner.

Deadline is May 4, 2018

Everyone be safe traveling home! Don't forget to get the word out that the applications for our scholarship are due by the first of May. This is for any continuing education and it was approved that we will be awarding TWO $2,000 scholarships! So whether you are graduating HS in May or going to flight school or just getting anther rating you are eligible to apply. You must be either a current TAAA member or sponsored by a current member. I am in charge of our scholarship Texas Agricultural Aviation Association. I know that it's due in 2 weeks but a $1000 scholarship is better than nothing right?! Anyway, so far I don't have any applicants and I hate to not be able to award it to anyone. If you are a member you can sponsor ANYONE who is continuing their education, whether it's first year of college, flight school, etc. The monies have to be sent to the school so they need to be enrolled. If y'all are interested please go to www.taaa.org you'll go to the WTAAA tab then scholarship. The essay length and topic is there and the address(however y'all could drop it my the office or my house too)

Hey ladies just a quick reminder to spread the word about the scholarship deadline, April 30th. All the guideline information is on the TAAA website under the scholarship tab. Remeber any member can sponsor anyone that is continuing their education.
