Austin Community Law Center The Austin Community Law Center's mission is to make legal representation radically more affordable, invest in a stronger community, and fight for justice

The Austin Community Law Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our mission is to make legal representation radically more affordable, invest in a stronger community, and fight for justice. ACLC is different than other nonprofit law firms because its focus is excusively on the Austin area. Whether it's criminal justice, housing, affordability, or health care, you can trust that we will be

on the scene -- fighting, analyzing, agitating, and moving the needle. ACLC is also different than other nonprofit firms because it is accountable to Austin. Our success will depend on you. With all due respect to Governor Abbott, he's wrong.

Prop Q, and the services it will protect, is important for many of the clients we serve.

Please vote YES to Prop Q.

Proposition Q would increase city property taxes by more than 20%, generating $110 million to fund homelessness programs and other initiatives. Election Day is Tuesday.

Have you early voted? Early voting is open until Oct. 31

At the Austin Community Law Center, we don’t receive funding from the City of Austin — but every day we see how critical City-supported services are to our clients.

That’s why we’re urging a YES vote on Proposition Q, to preserve essential parts of Austin’s social safety net, including:

✅ Emergency housing assistance to keep families off the streets
✅ Mental health care for those in crisis
✅ Support for survivors of violence so they can recover safely

Without Prop Q, these vital programs face deep cuts due to federal funding losses and new state limits on local revenue.

10/21/2025

Early voting has started and will last until October 31. Election day is Tuesday, November 4.
