Confused by Texas property tax jargon? Let’s simplify it.

When you log into your local Truth-in-Taxation website this August, you’re going to see two critical terms required by Texas law: the No-New-Revenue Rate and the Voter-Approval Rate.

Understanding the difference between these two numbers is the key to knowing whether your local government is actually holding the line on spending or proposing a tax hike.
