✨ Grant Application Tips ✨

We asked Amanda—a past grant recipient and current FFOTX board member, for her best advice when filling out our grant application. Here’s what she shared:

1️⃣ Biggest tip when filling out the application
Take your time and don’t rush it. The application is straightforward, but it’s worth pausing to gather your thoughts, your medical/financial details, and your story in a way that feels clear and authentic. One of the most helpful things you can do—for yourself and the reviewers—is to be as thorough and complete as possible. Filling in every section thoughtfully, and providing the details asked for, makes it easier to fully understand your circumstances and focus on your story.

2️⃣ Advice for sharing your personal story
Share from the heart. Think about the parts of your story that best reflect your journey, resilience, and why this support would make a difference to you. It’s okay to be vulnerable; remember that you’re sharing with people who truly want to help. When I went through the process, I felt like I was talking to a room full of people who cared deeply about me and my family. Writing as if you’re speaking to a trusted friend can make the process easier.

3️⃣ Final advice
You don’t have to be perfect—just be yourself. Everyone’s fertility journey looks different, and there’s no ‘right’ story or set of circumstances. Don’t second-guess whether your situation is ‘enough.’ If you’re applying, it’s because this support could make a meaningful impact on your path

We give IVF Grants up to $10,000 to qualifying applicants in Central Texas pursuing fertility treatment.

✅ Basic Eligibility Highlights to Apply:

1️⃣ Live in one of the 22 Central Texas counties we serve
2️⃣ Household income under $150,000/year
3️⃣ No fertility insurance coverage, or coverage has been fully exhausted
4️⃣ Care under a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist
5️⃣ Treatment at a SART member clinic
