For 15 years, VCC Construction has shown what it means to lead with heart.

Through the VCC Cares Foundation Charity Golf Classic, their team has invested in children with disabilities and their families across Texas—helping create more access, more independence, and more opportunities to thrive.

In 2025, we were honored to receive a $25,000 gift as part of the 9th year of this incredible event. With this support, VCC Cares Foundation has now given a total of $173,000 to Variety Texas—and $236,000 in lifetime support from VCC Construction.

We’re deeply grateful for this partnership and excited to celebrate 10 years as a beneficiary in 2026.

Thank you, VCC, for continuing to show up for our families.

Words matter. 💬

In her latest blog, Executive Director Brittany Baize reflects on why the R-word is harmful, why we’re hearing it more often again, and what it means for kids, families, and our community.

This isn’t about policing language. It’s about understanding impact.

When we choose words that respect people’s dignity, we help create a more inclusive world where every child is seen, valued, and welcomed.

The “R-word” has made a quiet comeback—but its impact hasn’t changed. CoorDown’s “Just Evolve” campaign reminds us why language matters and how small shifts can create a more inclusive, respectful world.
