Last weekend, Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation hosted our annual Spring Break camping trip, where we took 60 inner-city youth camping at Blanco State Park. 🏞🏕

With one of our biggest groups yet, we were able to partake in several activities that connected us with nature and the outdoors. These camping trips continue to be fundamental building blocks for our youth’s development and life choices.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend a success. 💙

Women's History Month Spotlight

Based in Newport News, Virginia, she is the Founder and Director of Abu Unity, an organization she launched in 2006 in honor of Quincy "Abu" Jones, the father of her oldest daughter, whose life was lost to gun violence in 2003. Through Abu Unity, she leads initiatives rooted in mentorship, coalition-building, and crisis response so that other families would not have to carry the same grief. She also directs the VICTOR Program, providing high-touch support and de-escalation to individuals and neighborhoods most impacted by violence.

Today, she serves as a Project Manager with the Community-Based Public Safety Collective, supporting cities and organizations nationwide in building coordinated, community-led public safety strategies.

Her work is personal. Her impact is national.

For Spring Break 2026 Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation linked up with some of our community partners to host our monthly "Create in the Park".

We kicked things off in the heart of 78702 at Booker T. We had a great time with commUNITY. Kids got to express themselves through different forms of art, free haircuts were provided for the youth, we raffled off a few prizes, and everyone enjoyed some of the best BBQ in the city!

Thank you to everyone who played a part and gave a helping hand to start these kids spring break off the right way.
