Every weekend, when many offices close and resources become harder to access, We Can Now shows up with partners like Thrift-ish and Cooks unity.

Homelessness doesn’t take Saturdays or Sundays off. Hunger doesn’t wait until Monday. Medical needs don’t pause. Crisis doesn’t follow business hours.

That’s why we go out EVERY week—bringing food, water, hygiene supplies, clothing, first aid, and hope directly to people where they are. For some, these aren’t just resources—they’re the difference between making it through the weekend or not.

We don’t wait for people to find help. We take help to them.

This is why your support matters. Every donation, every volunteer, and every share helps us put life-saving resources into the hands of someone who needs them most.

Because compassion doesn’t close for the weekend. Neither do we.

It matters that the people making decisions about our city’s most vulnerable residents aren’t just studying these communities they’ve lived in them. The strongest leaders are often those who have walked the same streets, faced the same challenges, and understand the realities that statistics alone can never capture. When lived experience is represented in positions of power, policy becomes more compassionate, resources become more effective, and trust between government and community begins to grow.

We are honored to announce that We Can Now has been selected as a 2026 !

We are incredibly grateful to the Austin Community Foundation Forever Austin Fund for investing in organizations that are creating lasting change across Central Texas. Being selected as one of 130 nonprofits receiving support is more than an award it is a vote of confidence in our mission and in the people we serve.

This investment aligns directly with our vision of creating sustainable pathways out of homelessness through street outreach, diversion, prevention, healthcare access, mental health support, job readiness. Every step we take is rooted in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward long-term stability.

As Austin continues to grow, so does the need for collaborative, community driven solutions. We are proud to stand alongside so many organizations committed to building a stronger, healthier, and more equitable Central Texas.

The art of giving isn’t measured by how much you have, it’s measured by how willing you are to care.

Every Sunday, we step into our community not to rescue people, but to remind them they haven’t been forgotten. A meal, a bottle of water, a conversation, or simply learning someone’s name can restore dignity in ways money never could.

Street outreach teaches us that generosity is more than a donation, it’s showing up with compassion, consistency, and love. The greatest gift we can offer another person is the reminder that their life has value. Thanks to our partners Carol Rabun we couldn’t do this without you. www.wecannow.org

Today, on Father’s Day, We Can Now showed up to honor and feed fathers who are often overlooked because of their circumstances.

A man’s situation should never define his worth. Many of the fathers we met today are resilient, loving, and doing their best while facing challenges most people will never understand.

Fatherhood doesn’t stop because someone is experiencing homelessness, hardship, or struggle. Every father deserves dignity, respect, appreciation, and the opportunity to be seen.

Today was about more than a meal—it was about reminding these men that they matter, that they are valued, and that their lives have purpose.

To all the fathers fighting battles behind the scenes: we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you.
