CACTX and EverUpward were proud to have Ellen Morrissey, our Chief Innovation Officer, represent us at the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting of PREVENT TOGETHER – The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation.

The meeting brought together leaders and organizations from across North America who share one goal: stopping child sexual abuse and exploitation before it happens. We are honored to stand alongside partners working toward a future where children can grow up safe and reach their full potential.

We left energized and ready to keep doing our part by driving innovation, sharing what we learn, and building safer futures for children and families.

Today, that spirit continues through EverUpward, a newly created independent nonprofit dedicated to creating, proving, and scaling solutions that help children thrive. And through EverBright we're bringing proven prevention resources and support to more families across Texas.

After years of research and testing, yesterday, we launched EverUpward's initiative EverBright. Today, we're inviting parents, caregivers, pediatric providers, and community partners to explore the site.

Our goal is ambitious: reaching one million parents and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to help keep children safe before harm occurs.

Today marked an exciting milestone.

We officially launched EverUpward and announced Google.org's $2.25 million in support to help expand EverBright, our flagship child sexual abuse prevention initiative.

CACTX and its network of children's advocacy centers have helped more than one million children and families find safety, justice, and healing after abuse. Now, through EverBright, we're building toward our next million: reaching one million parents and caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to help keep children safe. EverBright is the first of future innovations.

After more than 30 years of learning through CACTX and its network of children's advocacy centers, we're excited to share a new chapter.

We're also launching EverBright, the first initiative emerging from this vision, giving parents and caregivers practical tools to help keep children safe before harm occurs.

We're grateful to Google.org for $2.25 million in funding over the next two years to help expand EverBright and bring these resources to more families.

CACTX is proud to partner with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to offer no-cost Preventing Abuse and Reporting Misconduct training for Texas school districts during the 2026-27 school year. These courses help educators, administrators, and school leaders strengthen student safety efforts and stay informed on recent updates to Texas law.

What an inspiring afternoon at the 3rd Annual Spill the Tea Luncheon! 💙

Community leaders and supporters gathered in Waco to celebrate the incredible impact of the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children and the vital services they have provided to children and families for 50 years.

During this event, we were honored to present Angelia Orr for Texas with the Partners in Courage Award in recognition of her steadfast support of Texas Children's Advocacy Centers and child victims of crime during the 89th Legislative Session.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in recognizing the Advocacy Center's lasting legacy and commitment to serving children and families across the community.
