🦆🍽️ TABLE MANNERS? That’s just Quackers!

Apparently, when you’re a black bellied whistling duck, the food bowl is also a swimming pool, a foot bath, and an all-you-can-eat buffet! 😂💦 If I fits, I sits!

These little feathered food critics have decided that sitting IN their dinner is far more efficient than standing NEXT to it.

And while we may question their dining etiquette, ducks are naturally messy eaters! They use their bills to scoop, sift, and explore their food…. Which is also why staff has to refresh and clean their water troughs 3 times per day.

What you don’t see is this enclosure is very large and has 3 larger kiddy pools for ponds for them to splash around in, but they always choose the smallest bowl in the place to make their resting spot for the day.

These ducks are just getting this week to make sure they are fully waterproofed and then they will be released and on their adventurous way!

🐍🏆 AND THE AWARD FOR ANGRIEST MUGSHOT GOES TO…

This baby copperhead! 🥇😡

Small snake. BIG attitude. ZERO interest in cooperating with the paparazzi. 📸

Currently in our care, this tiny danger noodle has officially mastered the art of looking personally offended by absolutely everything. Don’t let the baby face fool you! Even young copperheads are venomous and deserve plenty of space.

This little slithery friend was being relocated when it was noticed that he was thinner than it should be. To AWR we go! We will be monitoring his eating and making sure he gains the much needed weight before being released into a much better area for survival. This has been the year of venomous snakes and we couldn’t be happier helping these noodles get back into the wild!

Tiny body. Even BIGGER attitude. 🐍💚
