A job search can take a toll on you.

Rejection. Waiting. Financial pressure. Uncertainty. Discouragement.

And as our speaker points out, when you're feeling distraught, that emotion can show up in the interview process, even when you don't intend for it to.

That's why interview preparation isn't only about practicing your answers.

It's also about preparing yourself.

Before your next interview, give yourself a few minutes to reset. Remind yourself of the value you bring, the problems you've solved, and the strengths you have to offer.

You don't have to pretend the job search hasn't been hard.

But you also don't want the hardest parts of this season speaking louder than what you bring to the table.
