Hello friends! We had some exciting things happen in 2018 with Guitars For Swaziland including getting some music gear to Nelisa Lawton of Into Music Society in Mbabane, Swaziland. This was done in support of her endless efforts to promote music and music education in her community. We at GFS have been grateful to her and the Into Music Society for reaching out to the guitar students at the SOS Village and inviting them to music workshops and lessons. We will have a press release coming soon and some new pictures from this year's visit to Cote d'Ivoire that Greg Engle and I made for an amazing Arts Envoy Program this year. Special thanks to Katherine Diop and Guy Honore Koffi for making our interaction with the musicians, children, and people of Cote d'Ivoire something we will always hold dear.

This is wonderful news! Much gratitude to Into Music Society, Nelisa Lawton, and Mbuso Vilakati for offering this guitars workshop to these aspiring musicians from the SOS Village. I'm sure I speak for all my colleagues and supporters at Guitars for Swaziland when I say this is 'music to our ears!'

Hello friends, I've been happy to say GFS has been active this year and we recently helped a non-profit group run by Nelisa Lawton of Into Music Society get some much needed instruments and sound system gear to put on their shows and workshops. I was especially pleased to hear children from the SOS Village who have been learning guitar from instruments we sent over (thanks to their volunteer instructor Armand Perry) also were integrated into a recent workshop and enjoyed seeing a great jazz performance the night before.

In a few weeks I'll return to Cote d'Ivoire, Africa with Greg Engle for another great trip with our eyes and ears open to making new friends and sharing musical ideas.
