This is a chance to work alongside artists, contribute to a public mural, and be part of something rooted in community and creativity.

We’re specifically looking to connect with unhoused or housing-insecure individuals and we’d appreciate your help sharing this with anyone who may be interested.

“This is a community gathering space.” ☀️

We sat with Harold reflecting on moments like “Celebrate Black Austin” hosted by back in February and what it means to create spaces that go beyond nightlife and center community.

Seeing families, kids running around, people connecting, those are the moments that affirm the mission.

This is what has always been about. Watch the full interview on YouTube!

Please join us in welcoming Taylor Danielle Davis to the RITS Board. ☀️

Taylor’s work lives at the intersection of curation, public art, and community engagement creating programs and exhibitions that uplift artists and reflect the communities they’re rooted in.

“What we do here this year has to be significant.” 🗣️💯

We sat down with Harold to talk about the future of Block 16 & 18 and the role this space plays in preserving and honoring Black history in Austin.

After 20 years, is entering its final season. And what happens next matters.

This is about more than development. It’s about culture, memory, and what we choose to carry forward.

Meet our April Blue House resident artist, Kalle Duncan ☀️.

An Austin-based muralist and multidisciplinary artist, Kalle’s work is shaped by her Chicana background and explores themes of grief, spirituality, and matriarchy. Her practice reflects both personal experience and a deeper connection to cultural memory.

With murals across Austin and exhibitions throughout Texas, she brings both perspective and presence into the Blue House this month.

Welcome, Kalle. 🎨
