These are AmeriCorps members, and they will ! We were honored to join AmeriCorps Central Texas last week to swear in a new cohort of AmeriCorps members who have committed to serving in the Central Texas area in the coming year. As we tackle complex challenges facing local communities, it is inspiring to see Texans from diverse backgrounds answer the call to support a wide range of community needs—including promoting access and equity in education, enhancing job readiness, enhancing access to higher education, addressing environmental issues, and much more.

Join us in thanking these extraordinary AmeriCorps members for their dedication to strengthening Texas communities! 4-H CAPITAL American YouthWorks Austin Achieve Public Schools Breakthrough Central Texas College Possible Communities In Schools of Central Texas Imagine Art Literacy First

Today, we remember the tragic events that unfolded on September 11th, 2001, and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks. It is a day that will forever be etched in our collective memory, reminding us of the fragility of life and the resilience of the human spirit.

As we commemorate this solemn occasion, let us unite, setting aside our differences and standing hand in hand. Today, we set an example of unity by committing ourselves to acts of service and kindness, ensuring the legacy of those we lost lives on through our actions.

No matter our backgrounds, beliefs, or ideologies, we have a shared responsibility to improve the world. By engaging in acts of service, small or big, we can spread kindness, compassion, and unity in our communities. Whether it's lending a helping hand to someone in need, volunteering for a cause close to our hearts, or simply embracing our fellow Americans with empathy and understanding.

Today, we say, "I will for 9/11 Day." We pledge to honor the memory of those who perished and those whose lives were forever changed by committing ourselves to acts of service that promote the values of unity, compassion, and solidarity.

May our collective efforts serve as a lasting tribute to the lives lost on that fateful day and inspire a brighter future for future generations.

September 11, 2001 is a day we must never forget. Remember the fallen by lifting our communities and honor the heroes by becoming one to someone in need. Mak...
