Marcos Morales (Marcos Morales) is returning to _OFCOLOR after showing with us during Latino Art MNTH. He is a friend first and an artist we trust completely. Every project we get to build with him is an honor, and he always brings something into the room that was not there before.

About the print: “CLARITY came out of a trip to Oregon that reset my sense of direction. What reads as a maze at first resolves into balance the longer you sit with it.”

Meet our Cohort of Curators back at the Austin Public Library Downtown Library 2nd floor gallery this sunday, Aug 16th!

They will be doing a interactive tour of the exhibit. Along some of the artist will be in the space to talk about there work, including Lys Santamaria, Rewon Shimray, Rakhee Jain Desai, Raul Rodriguez, and Nashelle Williams.

Where Memory Becomes Land explores how memory, place, identity, and lived experience shape our understanding of community. Through the work of nine artists, the exhibition encourages close looking, dialogue, and reflection on the ways personal and collective histories become embedded in landscapes, objects, and everyday life. This tour combines fellow-led conversations with interactive activities that invite visitors to engage directly with the artwork.

For flight 007 Creative Departure, OFCOLOR is presenting our first-ever Animated & Motion Art Showcase and we’re taking it to the big screen.

We’re calling on all local animators, motion designers, 3D artists, and visual creators to submit their work. Got a 7-second loop? A character animation? An experimental motion piece? If it moves, we want to show it.

We’re highlighting talent across Central Texas and beyond—Austin, San Antonio, San Marcos, Houston, Dallas, and everywhere in between. Don’t let your work live only on a phone screen. Let’s watch it together, larger than life.
