Natureversity is a nature-based learning school that offers courses covering naturalist studies, survival skills, traditional archery, and scouting for ages 5 to 17. We are dedicated to providing children, teens and families the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with themselves, their families, community and nature. We do this by offering programs that include both native and modern wa

ys of teaching that inspire children to feel comfortable and connected while in nature. With this unique teaching style we challenge students in ways that pushes them to become natural leaders, educators and stewards of the land. Our outdoor classroom inspires imaginative play, creations from nature, and life long relationships with our natural world.

I believe this is what they call “a proper unit”.

Students found what they identified as a Pond Slider turtle based off of these characteristics:

* The intricate yellow striping on the head and legs
* The oval, slightly domed shell
* The plastron (bottom shell) patterning
* The faint reddish/orange coloration along the shell margins near the legs.

Do you think their ID was accurate?
