What a great week it’s been at Porsche Parade in beautiful, and cool, Lake Placid, NY! The Hill Country Region was represented by over 10 members! The scenic drives often ended at an interesting and fun activity, like hiking in Ausable Chasm, and riding on rail bikes. Our members participated in Autocross in the ever changing mountain weather from sunny, to windy, to rainy. They went to interesting Tech talks, including the annual discussion on the present value of Porsches. HCR members attended the Zone 5 meet up while browsing the Concours to vote on the People’s Choice award. They also voted on the People’s Choice at Porsche member art show. It was a full week of PCA activities, but our members also went to the top of the Olympic ski lift, took a curling lesson, made candles, toured the Olympic museum, and many other things in the beautiful area. They had several festive PCA dinners on the ice rink where the USA won the gold medal against the USSR in hockey in the 1980 Olympics, including the awards dinner where our region won 1st runner up in the Ferry Porsche Trophy for best region in PCA!!

New event posted: Informal Get Together on Mercer St. Dripping Springs on July 12 2026 08:00:00

Please note we're back to Summer hours.
296 W Mercer St. Dripping Springs, TX 78620 We will meet in the parking lot between EDWARD JONES and NESTHAVEN PROPERTIES.
Public restrooms are available. Coffee & breakfast items are available at MAZAMBA COFFEE ROASTERS & THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING COMPANY which are within a short walking distance.
Informal Get Together on Mercer St. Dripping Springs is now on HISTORIC MERCER STREET. "Taking a step back in time" is a common phrase you will hear as you stroll down Mercer Street in downtown Dripping Springs, enjoying the architecture of buildings, many of which were built between 1870 and 1940. Also, located downtown is the actual "dripping springs", the landmark that gave Dripping Springs its name. Located on the west end of Mercer Street, this specific area consists of lush, fern-covered limestone ledges that consistently drip water into a small stream.
This is a very informal “come as you are” gathering, providing a great opportunity to chat with your fellow Porsche enthusiasts while drinking a cup of coffee & showing off your own Porsche beauty! Swing by at your leisure.

Informal Get Together on Mercer St. Dripping Springs is a standing “no host” get-together in The Hill Country on the 2nd Sunday morning of each month. No reservation is needed, but please contact Social Chair Bill Foster with any questions at [email protected]. Thank you, Bill!
