Nothing starts a weekend quite like a well-attended Porsche show at Mozart’s Coffee Roasters with the Hill Country Region PCA family. From lifted rally builds and air-cooled classics to modern GT precision and eye-catching Paint to Sample colors, the lineup was pure magic by the water.

A huge thank you to all our incredible HCR volunteers and the team at Mozart's for hosting an unforgettable morning!

Mozart’s Cars Coffee & Croissants on Sun October 4 from 9:00-1:00 was an amazing event as usual and one of our favorites. We had 2 Porsche corrals with one running from 9-11… and second corral was from 11-1. Each time slot had over 40 Porsches to admire!! This is a huge Porsche Car Show which is free to the public and we had just under 4,000 spectators who get to stroll around the Porsches , enjoy amazing coffee, pastries, and breakfast items. Everyone loves the “People’s Choice Award “ where spectators vote on their favorite car. This is sponsored by Porsche Austin with generous prizes to the winners. Thanks so much to owners of Mozart’s Ken and Stacey❤️. Thanks to Mozart’s coordinator Renee who was so awesome with the setup process. And very special thanks to Amber Ashy our Event coordinator and her team …you are awesome and always make this event run smoothly. Of course all of our volunteers are awesome too!!! This event is twice per year … don’t miss the next one. Stop in for a cup of coffee anytime !! Mozart’s is located at 3825 Lake Austin Blvd!!👍👍

Teen Street Survival School is an excellent event sponsored by Porsche Austin and Porsche South Austin and is held twice a year. On Sept 19 we had 26 teenage drivers who participated in guided instruction to help them drive better and more confidently. The program is run by HCR volunteers and provides practical, behind the wheel instruction and practice in car control, while using the cars participants drive daily. The curriculum includes four exercises that teach the fundamentals of car control, including emergency lane , slalom, emergency braking, and skid pad. The classroom session covers the basics of car dynamics, weight transfer, vision, and the importance of maintaining the car and how proper maintenance affects safety. It was a long hot day, but worth it as every participant and parent left feeling more confident in what’s ahead for them on our streets and highways.

We had an amazing turnout at our Fall Driving tour on Sat Sept 26. We had 34 Porsches and over 60 members who were treated to a beautiful drive starting at HEB in Dripping Springs and driving the scenic roads through Hill Country for approximately 90 miles and ending at Black’s BBQ in New Braunfels. Everyone enjoyed the ride and the delicious lunch. Thanks to Ken Kalin for organizing this event 👍👍. And thanks to Porsche Austin who is always there to support our events.
