Today is the National Day of Prayer

Heavenly Father,
On this National Day of Prayer, we pause with grateful hearts for the many blessings You have given our nation. Grant wisdom to our leaders, strength to our communities, comfort to those who are hurting, and hope to those facing uncertainty. Help us lead with compassion, serve with humility, and treat one another with kindness and respect. May we seek peace, unity, and purpose in all we do.
Amen

Today we pause to remember Texas Independence Day—March 2, 1836—when a determined group of Texans signed the Declaration of Independence at Washington-on-the-Brazos and claimed their freedom from Mexico. It was a bold step, taken with courage and conviction, grounded in a deep desire for liberty and self-governance. As we reflect on this moment in history, we honor the resilience, sacrifice, and enduring spirit that continue to shape Texas today—and we are reminded that the blessings of freedom are both a gift and a responsibility.
