Bharati Vidyapeeth has done extensive research keeping in mind the needs of NRI children while setting up the syllabus.
- There are five levels of Marathi language learning. Plus we add four additional levels for early ages to prepare kids for the five levels.
- Each kid can go with his/her pace -- there is no rush to achieve certain level in certain time frame
- Kid could take an exam if he/she is ready to go to the next level
- Overall emphasis: 60% Oral communication & 40% Reading-Writing (each level has certain expectations)
- Other things that will be covered are: Shlok, Kavita, drawing, craft work, etc.
- Age: 3.5 and up
- Duration: One and half hours to 2 hours - once a week
Semesters:
- Spring (Jan-May)
- Fall (Sep-Dec)
Austin Marathi Shala currently running online sessions. When we used to do in person lessons, we met at rental facilities in North Austin & Round Rock areas. But these can change from time to time.
