As Memorial Day approaches, we encourage you to join us in honoring the brave men and women who have served our country & paid the ultimate price. Memorial Day serves as a time dedicated to remembering and honoring their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

Whether you’re attending a parade, a community event, or just having a cookout, we hope you celebrate safely & take time to think of those brave men, women, & their families. How ever you're celebrating with friends & family over this long weekend don’t forget to pause to thank those who left to fight for our freedom, but never made it home. Our reason for the holiday weekend.

As professionals, we know how critically important safety on the job site is. From proper grounding techniques to meticulous circuit testing, every precaution we take ensures not just our own well-being but also the safety of those around us.

🛠️ 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 & 𝐰𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Inspect cords and wiring to ensure there is no damage or alterations that could compromise safety.

🔌 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Make sure to use indoor equipment indoors & outdoor equipment outside.

⚡ 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: Always ensure all equipment and flexible cables are properly grounded to prevent electrical hazards.

📜 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: Keep circuit directories updated and accessible to ensure worker safety and allow for quick responses in case of emergencies.

🔌 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲: Regularly test GFCIs to check that they continue working correctly & safely.

📝 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 & 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐠: Maintain a detailed log of equipment and cord sets being used, including testing and maintenance records.

Never to late to do new things, this is my first time voting. I'm thankful my local union has someone dedicated to doing the research and meeting with candidates to find the best options for the labor movement. He also educates us as members on the importance of voting and held you through the process of doing this. For people like me that is a huge help Get out and vote. The labor movement needs your support, you cab do this by voting for labor friendly candidates. Thank you IBEW Local 520 and Ryan Po***ck for everything you do ⚡️✊🏼⚡️

A great quote I heard today from Brother Rick Hockwarth.

“Solidarity doesn’t start when the boot is on YOUR neck, it starts by defending the ones with the boot already on THEIRS”

Wish more would understand this, why wait until YOU need help when there’s so many out there that need it now. SOLIDARITY will set us free!
