Congrats to for winning the TXIWC ‘Premier Star of the Show’ Award! Texas International Wine Competition is one of the states largest wine competition and features a diverse range of wines from more than 11 countries including the USA.

The Texas International Wine Competition (TXIWC) was founded by Bonnie Villacampa, an international wine judge and co-founder of Baron de Villacampa, a wine brand from the Rioja region in Spain. Ms. Villacampa has judged at the Great American International Wine Competition as well as the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition (FLIWC) in New York for more than 10 years.

Texas wineries are winning more and more awards around the world. Ms. Villacampa aspired to bring an international wine competition to the Texas Hill Country, and the Texas International Wine Competition was born. The mission of the TXIWC is to bring attention to Texas as a prominent viticulture and wine-making region while also raising money for charitable causes.

TXIWC would like to thank all the judges, volunteers, sponsors, and wineries that helped bring this vision to life. And a special thanks to David Male, Ron Dougherty, John “JC” Cordeiro, Dr. Luboš Bárta, Iva Kovarikova, Dr. Tim O’Connor, and all of our friends from around the world for inspiring this event and for the feedback, guidance, and assistance they have provided, and continue to provide, to the TXIWC.
