We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Moya Brennan. As the unmistakable voice of Clannad as well with many collaborations over the years, she helped bring the beauty of Irish and Celtic music to audiences around the world, inspiring generations with her ethereal sound and heartfelt performances.

Her artistry, faith, and dedication to preserving Celtic heritage leave a lasting legacy that will continue to resonate for years to come.

Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and fans across the global Celtic community. We join you in mourning this tremendous loss and celebrating a life that gave so much to the music and traditions we cherish.

We were blessed to have Moya headline with her band in 2012. Although it was over 14 years ago, as you can hear from this live video taken at the Pooka Stage, she was a timeless talent.

Happy St Patrick’s Day! ā˜˜ļø ā€˜The Irish came to Texas in the early 1800s. San Patricio & Refugio, towns near Corpus Christi, were the first Irish settlements in Texas. 12 Irishmen died at the Alamo, 14 were with Fannin at Goliad & about 100 fought with Sam Houston at San Jacinto!’ ā¤ļø
