Did you know that country music legend Dolly Parton was also our SAI sister? ❤️

On June 17, 2011, Dolly was initiated as an Honorary Member of Sigma Alpha Iota by the Knoxville Alumnae Chapter, in Tennessee.

From her humble beginnings in the Smoky Mountains to becoming one of the world's most beloved singers & songwriter.

🎶 The voice behind timeless classics including Jolene, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You.

🏆 An 11-time Grammy Award winner and member of both the Country Music and Rock & Roll Halls of Fame.

📚 A passionate advocate for literacy whose Imagination Library has gifted millions of books to children worldwide.

As sisters of SAI, we celebrate not only Dolly's remarkable musical gifts but also her commitment to enriching lives and creating opportunities for others.

🌹 SISTER SPOTLIGHT | Meet Sister Quinika! 🎶

What has SAI meant to me after college? Connection.

Music and the arts have always found a way to remain part of my life. Whether I'm singing, dancing, interpreting through American Sign Language, or occasionally picking up my French horn, I love having different ways to express myself.

My SAI journey began with the Delta Psi Chapter at Lincoln University in Missouri about 25 years ago, and today I'm grateful to continue that journey with the Austin Alumnae Chapter. 🌹

One of the beautiful things about sisterhood is that while our lives and careers may take us in very different directions, music gives us something that continues to bring us together.

College ends. Careers change. But music—and sisterhood—can still have a place.

For Sister Katie, SAI has provided a community of women throughout her post-graduate career and an opportunity to stay connected to her musical skills, even while building a career in tech.

The SAI Alumnae Chapter had a fantastic night out! Several weeks ago, we enjoyed dinner at the legendary Hoovers before catching an amazing performance of the Broadway show, The Wiz, here in Austin. Great food, friends, and a phenomenal show made for a perfect evening. So thankful for the opportunity to spend time together!
