These two Danes are in Eagle Pass TX. As you can see from the video, the female was used for breeding. Who knows how many litters she has had. Now the owner is moving and leaving the dogs behind. So they need to come into rescue.

We are looking to find them foster homes (not together) in the Austin area. If you could foster or if you are interested in adopting, please go to our website to fill out the application.

We would also appreciate donations to help for their care.

Austin, TX.

Remember Deputy Dewey? He came into our rescue about a month ago as a complete mess — no manners, overflowing with pent-up energy, severe separation anxiety, and some destructive behavior from boredom.

Well… after getting neutered and spending time with an amazing foster family, Deputy Dewey has made an incredible transformation. He’s been able to run on a ranch, play with other dogs, and just be a dog — and it shows!

Now he walks great on a leash, loves car rides, plays well with other dogs, and is good around kids. He’s a handsome, loving, playful boy who is ready for a forever home. (He may still sneak off with a toy or two to chew on!)

If you’d like to give Deputy Dewey the loving home he deserves, please visit our website and fill out an adoption application.

UPDATE: Adopted by her foster family.

This is Perdita (Perdy). She is a beautiful blue-eye harlequin Great Dane. She is 2 years old, spayed and current on all vaccinations. She also had gastropexy done. She suffered a thermal burn during her spay and has since fully recovered, though she has a large scar on her left shoulder.

Perdy is incredibly sweet and friendly to all. She has grown up around children and is good with other dogs and also OK around cats. No one is a stranger to her. She was professionally trained through a boarding program in Dallas (https://www.lonestardogtrainer.com/). She is house-trained, crate-trained, and off-leash trained when wearing her e-collar. She loves to play with other dogs. When outside she gets the zoomies and she loves to go for car rides.

We would like to find Perdy a home with another playful dog(s).

If you would like to give this gorgeous girl a new loving home, please go to our website and fill out the adoption application. www.pawsofaustin.org

Available for adoption. Austin, TX

Gorgeous 20-months-old Dane name Deputy Dewey. Best description of his color- Brindlequine.

Dewey loves everyone. He wants to play with all the dogs that he meets. Good around cats. He is a clumsy puppy and full of energy. Will need basic training because he has no manners and no regards to “personal space”. He is a typical Velcro Dane. Since he loves to run and play, we think that it’s best that he will go to a home with another playful dog. He can be mouthy and he will chew stuffed animals and pillows, so when he’s not supervised, he needs to be in a kennel. Previous owner said that he is allergic to chicken, needs to be on Benadryl.

This is Mia. She needs a new home because owner is dealing with some health issues. She will be 3 years old on 4/25. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is a total cuddle bug. Loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed. Likes to chase quarrels in the yard. Likes to go on walks, but can be reactive when she sees other dogs. She has not been around cats and will not do well with other female dogs.

If you'd like to give Mia a new loving home, please go to our website and fill out the adoption application. www.pawsofaustin.org

This is a courtesy post.
Austin, TX.
Hugh is a stunning 3-year-old, 120lb neutered male merle Great Dane who turns heads everywhere he goes. He was found as a stray in San Antonio and he was taken to the shelter. He had Demodex mange, so he was put on the euthanasia list. Luckily PPip's Rescue Pack Foster Grouppulled him out of the shelter and he was provided the vet care he needed. Huge was adopted to a family out of state, but unfortunately it did not work out and Huge is now back at his foster home in Pflugerville.

Huge is a happy playful goof ball who loves to explore, romp around, and be near his people. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other pups. There are no issues in his current foster home, but we became aware that Huge can get stressed around people he does not know, mostly men. His lack of trust of men is probably due something that happened to him in the past. It’s obvious that Hugh has been through a lot. His behavior and physical condition are consistent with a history of neglect, and possibly abuse. When going to a new place, he needs time to decompress and feel secure in his environment. Once he gets settled, you get to see the happy, goofy, playful loving dog that he is.

Hugh’s ideal home would be with 1–2 adults max and no small children, due to his size, enthusiasm, and need for slow, thoughtful acclimation. He’s looking for a very low–foot traffic household. Need to have a home with a fenced yard and another well-balanced, confident dog. Having his own dedicated space or room for his crate and decompression time is important so he can settle in at his own pace.

It’s also important to note that Hugh does have a bite history, which his foster will be happy to discuss openly. He adores his current foster mom and dad and has had zero issues with them, but a home that can manage stress, provide structure, and truly set him up for success is a must. Hugh will need a very special, experienced home within a 60-mile radius of Austin.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and endlessly entertaining companion, Hugh is your guy. He’s a gentle giant with a huge heart, ready to soak up love and return it tenfold.

Austin, TX.
This is Boone. He is a 9 years old fawn Great Dane. His owner is an elderly person and she can no longer take care of Boone, so she reached out to us asking for help to find Boone a new home.

Boone is a senior dog, but he is in excellent health, still believes he's a puppy. He has a sweet personality. He gets along with the other dog in the house, but probably prefer being an only dog. He's never displayed any aggression. He's housebroken and good on a leash and he loves going on walks.

If you would like to give this sweet giant boy a new home, please go to our website and fill out the adoption application.
