BACKGROUND
Established in 2015, the Nuer Media Center (NMC) is an indigenous network of individuals, media practitioners, community communication groups, and non-governmental organizations committed to the promotion of community media and development communication in United State of America. NMC advocates for the creation and sustainability of community-based media owned, controlled, and produced
by, for, and about communities and we felt that the south Sudanese American need to be aware of the social transformation of our cultures. NMC is ready to take challenge and lead to bring the community together and tell, share, translate news into Nuer language and preserve our own stories, better understand our differences cultures, discuss our challenges and develop solutions. The NMC team has experience to encourage and exercise the free exchange of ideas, practice inclusiveness and empowerment, promote and enable social change and build collaborations and partnerships in pursuit of a better community.
