Thank you to Mayor Pro Tem José "Chito" Vela, APD Commander Reed and representatives, and Moses Rodriguez from Austin Code for joining our first WHNA meeting of 2026. We’re grateful for your time, your updates, and your willingness to engage directly with our community.

And a huge thank‑you to all our Windsor Hills neighbors who came out, asked thoughtful questions, and helped make it a truly productive conversation. Meetings like this remind us why our neighborhood is strong — we show up, we listen, and we work together to keep Windsor Hills safe and thriving.

Dear Community Members and Stakeholders,

We urgently need your participation!

As we continue working toward the development of the Gus García Senior Wing, it is essential that we gather input from as many community members as possible. This project can only move forward with strong community involvement, and your feedback plays a critical role in shaping the services, programs, and resources that will benefit our seniors for years to come.

We are asking all residents, families, and stakeholders to complete the survey either online or in person. The survey is designed to help us understand what the community wants, what gaps currently exist, and how we can build a stronger, more inclusive space for our seniors.

Why Your Participation Is Important
• It ensures the Senior Wing reflects the real needs of our community.
• It strengthens our proposal and shows strong community commitment.
• It helps secure support, funding, and approval for the project.
• It allows every voice especially those often overlooked to be heard.

How You Can Help
• Complete the survey (online or at designated in-person locations).
• Encourage neighbors, friends, and family to participate.
• Share the survey link on your personal social media pages and community groups.
• Help spread the word to seniors who may need assistance completing it.

Windsor Hills Neighborhood Update:

Thanks to Treasurer Harold Sundbeck for chairing the recent Windsor Hills Neighborhood Association meeting in my absence. Though I was sorry we couldn’t be there in person, I’m incredibly proud of the turnout and the energy in the room.

We’re grateful to Texas Department of Transportation and Austin Police Department for joining us to share updates and answer questions. Their participation helps keep our neighborhood informed and engaged.

And thank you to all the Windsor Hills residents who showed up — standing room only! That kind of turnout shows what’s possible when we work together. Building a better Windsor Hills takes all of us. Let’s keep moving forward.

With appreciation,
Jeremy Hendricks
