We provide immediate assistance to children in need in the 30 counties that make up Region 7 of Central Texas. Often these children are removed from their homes with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Something as simple as a pair of shoes, a backpack, summer camp, or music lessons can make all the difference in the life of a foster child. Most requests are in the areas of:
• education

(summer school, GED testing, books, tuition, computer, etc.)
• recreation (summer camp, sports teams, uniforms, music lessons, birthday parties)
• clothing and personal care items
• housing and shelter (beds, cribs, linens, air conditioner, etc.)
• food
• medical needs (eye glasses, prosthetics, etc.)
• adoption expenses
• transportation (bus passes, car seats)

Shoutout to the incredible team at Halff for going above and beyond this summer! 🏖️

Over 70 Screen-Free Summer Kits were assembled for children in foster care across Central Texas, providing them with games, toys, and outdoor fun for the season. That is the kind of community showing up that makes all the difference.

Thank you, Halff, for bringing your time, your energy, and your hearts to this work. We are so grateful for you! 💛

Foster Angels of Central Texas is proud to introduce the Longhorn Circle of Care, a volunteer group of UT Austin alumni dedicated to supporting former foster youth at UT Austin as they pursue their degrees on the Forty Acres.

Only 1 to 2% of former foster youth in Texas earn a bachelor's degree. Not because they lack the drive or the talent, but because the financial gap between what aid covers and what college actually costs can be too wide.

LCC exists to bridge that gap. Through care packages, emergency grants, birthday boxes, move-in essentials, and handwritten letters of encouragement, we show up every semester so former foster youth at UT Austin always have someone in their corner.
Because they have what it takes. We just make sure nothing stands in their way.

Every child deserves to walk into school on the first day feeling ready.

A backpack they love. Supplies that are theirs. An outfit they picked out themselves. 🎒

This summer, Foster Angels is aiming to send 800+ children in Central Texas back to school with everything they need to walk through that door with confidence.

Here is what your support provides.

- $25 sends an elementary student back with a brand new backpack.
- $50 gives a middle or high schooler a backpack they can be proud to carry.
- $100 fills that backpack with every supply they need on day one.
- $150 sponsors their very own first day outfit shopping trip.
- $500 puts a laptop in a student's hands so they can succeed in school and beyond.

What a way to celebrate a birthday! 🎂

Tim Fading has been marking another trip around the sun the same beautiful way for years now, by raising money for children and youth in foster care right here in Central Texas.

This year, he raised $3,800, and instead of gifts for himself, he gave the gift of impact to kids who need it most. We are beyond grateful, Tim. This community is something special.

We are so excited to announce Ryan Stream as our keynote speaker for this year's Shining Stars Luncheon!

Ryan knows what it means to grow up in foster care. From shelter beds and group homes to becoming a motivational speaker on 500 stages across 32 states, his journey is one of resilience, faith, and grit.
