Texas Czech Genealogical Society

Texas Czech Genealogical Society A genealogical society founded by Czech genealogists dedicated to helping you with your Czech genealogy. Vitame Vas! And don’t miss our Museum in Temple, Texas!

Welcome to the Texas Czech Genealogical Society (TCGS)! We are so happy and proud to offer our online presence so that members and visitors alike can be informed of our events, publications, and many other offerings. Whether researching your Czech heritage or honoring a Czech Veteran, our goal is to assist you. Our Society is about those Czechs who came from the Czech lands of Bohemia, Moravia, an

d Silesia and began their new lives in the United States – specifically Texas. We hold quarterly events with great speakers who talk on informative genealogical topics specific to Czechs. We publish books ranging from our ancestors’ lives in their ancestral villages to early Czech schools of Texas. For our members, this website now enables us to offer a list of research books from our Czech Research Library, list of Texas cemeteries where Czechs are buried, those researching surnames that you are also researching, and a way to communicate with one another. Our award winning quarterly publication, Ceske Stopy, still comes with membership and is loaded with information from researching tips to stories from our members. It houses the Texas Czech Veterans' Military Museum and Wall of Honor, Czech Pioneer Room, and our Czech Research Library with over 1,000+ books both in Czech and English. We would love to see you at our events and to help you with your research. Researching your Czech ancestors? You’ve come to the right place! S panem bohem!
